The cable is available in single-core, duplex and multi-core configurations. A typical single-core structure uses 1.0mm PMMA plastic optical fiber with an OD 2.2mm protective jacket. Cable structure, jacket material, length and core configuration can be customized according to application requirements.
Because plastic optical fiber is non-conductive, it can provide electrical isolation between connected equipment when used together with compatible optical transmitters and receivers, such as industrial POF communication and isolation systems.
